Julie can’t come to her blog right now….

Because she has laryngitis and she’s en route to Ottawa to renew her passport and buy more medicine and get an enormous cheque from the bank to pay for the new car she bought even though she doesn’t officially have a long-term teaching gig yet for the new school year.

Oh, and I have this note so I’m totally allowed to ditch:

"I DO have a note from my doctor...but nobody can read it!"

I promise to share pics of my car baby (a steel-grey 2016 Subaru Forester named Bubba Gump) when I return next week! Tootles, my loves!

I can’t imagine you not talking and singing. Are you practicing miming? I hope you’re back to normal soon.
Speaking of having a note…I had a girl today – a college student, mind you – who asked if I could write a note to her instructor so he wouldn’t be mad that she was late to class. After I got done laughing, and pointed out that there was no guarantee her instructor would accept it, I did write something stating she’d been in the library at such-and-such time because basically I’m a pushover.

  Hee! That’s so cute, and you’re so cute for doing it. I love you, my little pushover. This is the second time I’ve had laryngitis in the span of six months. I am not impressed, voice. But maybe this is a sign. Maybe the universe is telling me I’m destined to be a mime…or maybe I just talk too much. 😀

Congrats on the car. We (hubby and I) are fans of Subaru. We are on our third–and the second one is still running all these miles and years later.
