Hello, all you beautiful people! It’s time once again for me to share some Steeped In Love with you, and following that I have some incredibly exciting news! Read on! 🙂
Continuing from where we left off….
“Your dead aunt won’t what?”
“Great-aunt.” She pressed her fingers and thumb together repeatedly to simulate someone yapping in her ear.
“I thought we were having a good time.”
“Yeah, well, unfortunately, I’m like Indiana Jones. Me and snakes don’t mix well.”
“Right, um, I just remembered…I have to go, uh…go get my oil changed, so I’ll see ya.”
Apparently, that was enough crazy talk to spook him from his seat. He didn’t bother shaking her hand. Instead, he plucked a few bills from his wallet, dropped them to the table, and hightailed it toward the door.

Addie Mitchell is a pie-on-the-fly entrepreneur who’s finally ready to settle down in the big, empty house her late great-aunt Edna left to her. Frustrated with her lack of success in romance, Addie turns to another gift her great-aunt passed on to her—the art of reading tea leaves—to aid her in her search for the ideal mate.
Novelist Ethan Holtz is having a hard time sinking his teeth into his next project, but he finds Addie fascinating. Mainly for her ability to make her dates disappear in fifteen minutes or less. He can’t help but eavesdrop on her dates in the local coffee shop, his writing haven, and soon finds himself taking pointers on what not to do from her failed suitors.
Though her methods seem nothing short of mad, he falls fast and hard for the pixie-haired pie-pusher. She thinks they’re all wrong for each other, but Ethan teams up with the tea leaves to prove they’re so right.

Alright, you ready for my big news? My story, Steeped In Love, won the First Coast Romance Writers ‘Beacon Contest’ in category-length romance!!!!! And not only that, but both the editor and agent who judged the final round requested the manuscript! How cool is that?
I’m still ridiculously giddy about it, and it’s certainly a boost of confidence now that I’ve officially entered the Golden Heart contest! I wish all of you an exciting and productive week ahead! 🙂

So she is still hearing her dead great-aunt, that’s a bit spooky. I guess if he can’t take that, he might not be who she is looking for. 🙂

For some reason I got the biggest chuckle picturing her making the ‘yapping’ noise with her fingers!
