Hello there, you beautiful people! Happy Sunday! Get comfortable, grab a glass of something cool and refreshing, and enjoy the latest snippet from Learning to Love! 🙂

Continuing from where we left off…

Her feet carried her a few steps forward. Maybe she could hide out in the girls’ washroom for a while. Will and Berg could handle things in the gym. There’d only been two incidences thus far, and both were minor by Kendal High standards. A case of overexuberant dry-humping on the dance floor, and a rogue teen who’d snuck into the DJ’s booth to crank up the volume to an even more ear-splitting decibel. She’d used the latter as an excuse to get some air and let her fellow chaperones sort things out, but the night was far from over and she couldn’t hide away indefinitely.

The music swelled through the quiet hallway as the gym door opened again. She didn’t need to turn around to know it was Will.

“You okay?” he asked to her back.

Rebecca squeezed her eyes shut and counted to five before facing him.

Here’s the blurb:

Rebecca Ledgerwood is a physical education teacher who’s ready to invest some sweat equity into a lasting romance. On a whim, she has her palm read before summer vacation ends, and she’s told she’s an old soul who’ll find happiness with a younger man.

William Whitney leaves an unfulfilling career to pursue teaching and gets placed at Rebecca’s school for his physical education practicum. He’s desperate to make a difference, convinced that the choices he made in the past contributed to his younger sister’s death. Kendal High School is nothing like the prep school he attended as a teenager, but he’s determined to make the most of his time there, especially if it makes Rebecca notice him.

Though they come from vastly different backgrounds, there’s an undeniable chemistry that sparks between the two. They resist, as they must, until his practicum ends, but when he’s offered a teaching position at his former prep school, will he take the easy way out, or fight for what’s right in front of him?

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

One more week till I’m on March break! I most likely won’t be posting whilst I’m away, visiting with friends and family, so this’ll be it from me for a couple weeks. I hope our time apart brings nothing but wonderful things for you, despite how much I’m sure you’ll miss me. 😉 Take care, brush your hair, and I’ll catch you on the flip side!
